Current Safety Protocols in Respect to Covid-19

Updated: Oct.26 , 2020

Hello everyone!

In order to operate as safely as possible in regards to Covid-19, there have been a number of policy changes. The following information covers what you need to know.

Click Here to review our Plan for Return to Clinical Practice

This is a living document that will change if/when our governing body or Provincial Health guidelines change. This has been created based on the current guidelines outlined by the Registered Massage Therapists Association of BC, the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia and the Provincial Health Officer. All patients must read, understand and agree to the current protocols as outlined here, prior to every appointment.

Mandatory Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire

Before each appointment you will receive an email with a short 'Mandatory Covid-19 Screening' that you are required to complete prior to each appointment. You will receive this screening survey via email 24 hours before each appointment (If you cannot find this in your Inbox, please check your Junk Mail).

No Travel outside of BC 14 days before Appointment

Patient must confirm that they have not travelled outside British Columbia within 14 days prior to their appointment.

Personal Protective Equipment

Clean face masks are REQUIRED during intake, assessment, and while you are laying on your back during your treatment. You do not have to wear a mask when you are lying 'face down' during the treatment.

Cleaning Protocols

After each appointment, the treatment room, waiting room, and bathroom are thoroughly disinfected.

Wait Outside the Clinic for Your Appointment

The reception area can no longer be used for waiting, or lounging after your treatment.  The clinic door will be locked when you arrive. If you arrive early please wait in your car or outside the front door. You can knock, call, or send a text message to let me know that you have arrived and I will let you know when I am ready for you to come into the clinic. Please leave promptly after the appointment so I can sanitize the space for the next client.

Immunocompromised Patients or Persons with Concerns related to Personal Protective Equipment.

If you are immune deficient or if you have any concerns with regards to the personal protection equipment being used, please let me know, and I will be happy to accommodate you.

I am doing everything and anything I can to limit viral transmission. It is necessary for your safety, my safety and that of my other patients, that you read, understand and agree to abide by all the new protocols.

Sincerely,

Laura
